Wat een mijlpaal voor Wild Blaze! Na ons optreden bij dB’s in Utrecht als support van Gyasi, heeft Make A Fuzz onze show gerecenseerd — en wát een mooie woorden!
De review, geschreven door Victor Hijl, beschrijft precies de energie en het plezier die wij op het podium voelen.
“Wild Blaze bestaat sinds begin dit jaar en staat vanavond voor een flinke uitdaging omdat twee leden op het laatste moment niet aanwezig kunnen zijn. Hals over kop zijn twee vervangers geregeld. Knap hoe deze jonge band dit opvangt en er met volle energie tegenaan gaat. Wild Blaze start met ‘I Want You To Rock Me’ van Vixen, gevolgd door een nummer van Warlock. Dan volgt eigen werk in de vorm van ‘Riot’s Edge’. De rest van de set bestaat uit lekker energieke covers van The Cult, Poison, Europe en Cinderella. Typisch aanstekelijke MTV-rock. Ze sluiten af met eigen werk en dat is mooi, want met ‘Murder on the Sunset Strip’ laat de band zien zelf ook songwritingpotentie te hebben.”

A big milestone for Wild Blaze! After our show at dB’s in Utrecht supporting Gyasi, Make A Fuzz published a great review of our performance.

“Wild Blaze has only been around since early this year and faced quite a challenge tonight as two members couldn’t make it at the last moment. Two replacements were found in a hurry. Impressive how this young band handled it and went all in with full energy. Wild Blaze opens with ‘I Want You To Rock Me’ by Vixen, followed by a track from Warlock. Then comes their own song ‘Riot’s Edge’. The rest of the set is filled with energetic covers from The Cult, Poison, Europe and Cinderella. Typical infectious MTV-rock. They close with another original, and that’s great, because with ‘Murder on the Sunset Strip’ the band shows real songwriting potential.”
